All-round performer, Lady Gaga has joined the ever-expanding cast list for the Brad Pitt-led action movie ‘Bullet Train’.

‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ helmer, David Leitch is set to direct the story which is based on the Japanese novel ‘Maria Beetle’ by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka. Leitch will also supervise the script, which will be written by Zak Olkewicz.

Gaga, in an undisclosed role, will join the already announced cast of Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Masi Oka and two-time Oscar nominee Michael Shannon.

The contained story follows a group of assassins with conflicting motives aboard a fast-moving train in Tokyo.

Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc., who represent Isaka and the IP, are executive producers on the project. Harvill Secker has separately announced that it will publish the novel ‘Bullet Train’ in English next year.

Leitch and Kelly McCormick will produce through their company 87North, along with Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick.

Gaga hit the Hollywood Hills ablaze with her star turn in Bradley Cooper’s ‘A Star is Born’ which not only earned her Academy Award for Best Original Song but also the Best Actress nomination as well. She is also attached to Ridley Scott’s ‘Gucci’ alongside Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Jared Leto and Adam Driver.
