Glenn Close, Naomie Harris and Awkwafina have all joined the cast of the Mahershala Ali led AppleTV+ sci-fi feature ‘Swan Song’.
Described as a genre-bending drama, the feature is set in the near future that explores how far someone will go, and how much they’ll sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people they love.
Awkwafina will play Kate, the close friend and confidant to Cameron, played by Ali. Close will play a lead scientist at a facility.
Written and will be directed by Benjamin Cleary, the feature is produced by Adam Shulman and Jacob Perlin via Anonymous Content, Jonathan King for Concordia Studio, and Ali through his company Know Wonder.

Close can be seen next in Ron Howard’s ‘Hillbilly Elegy’. Awkwafina, who picked up a Golden Globe for her role in Lulu Wang’s ‘The Farewell’, is next set to star in Marvel movie ‘Shang-Chi’ and voice a role in Disney’s ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’.
