After months of teasers from HBO and claims from pretty much every cast member that dead means dead, Kit Harington has confirmed reports that he’s shot scenes for Game of Thrones season six. However, before you start coming up with all the crazy ways Jon Snow may have been resurrected, these comments from the actor do come with an asterisk.

“I’m not in the show anymore,” the actor reiterated in a recent interview. “I’m definitely not in the new series. I filmed some scenes of me being dead.” As for what he knows about the season, Harington added: “I don’t have a clue. I know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that! It’s some of my best work!” So, that’s pretty disappointing if true, right?

Honour the dead (and the living) with new Game of Thrones season 6 posters

Well, while we’re no doubt going to see Jon’s corpse, it seems impossible to imagine that he won’t factor into this season of Game of Thrones beyond that, especially as everything from set photos to comments from newer cast members (not used to the show’s level of secrecy) seem to indicate otherwise. Unfortunately, we’re just going to have to wait and see.
