Kingsman:-The-Secret-Service-Teaser-Poster-sliceHaving worked together to bring Kick-Ass to life, everyone’s been looking forward to Matthew Vaughn’s reunion with Mark Millar to bring the latter’s The Secret Service to the big screen. This morning, we got our first images of leading man Colin Firth in the film, now titled Kingsman: The Secret Service, which was followed by the first teaser poster this afternoon.

Now Fox has launched an impressive first trailer, giving us a look at just why this has been building so much buzz in recent months, painting Colin Firth in a whole new light. Namely, that of an action star.

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

Firth is joined by a great supporting cast, joined by the young Taron Egerton as his protégé, with the two starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine.

Vaughn is once more directing from a script he co-wrote with Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class), based on the original comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.

Kingsman: The Secret Service will be released in the UK on 17th October, arriving in the US a week later on October 24th. Whilst we eagerly count down the months, here’s the first trailer. Enjoy.
