Now Fox has launched an impressive first trailer, giving us a look at just why this has been building so much buzz in recent months, painting Colin Firth in a whole new light. Namely, that of an action star.
Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
Firth is joined by a great supporting cast, joined by the young Taron Egerton as his protégé, with the two starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine.
Vaughn is once more directing from a script he co-wrote with Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class), based on the original comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
Kingsman: The Secret Service will be released in the UK on 17th October, arriving in the US a week later on October 24th. Whilst we eagerly count down the months, here’s the first trailer. Enjoy.
