As of right now, Suicide Squad has the same score on Rotten Tomatoes as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (you can read our review of the former by clicking here), but with a record breaking debut of $20.5 million in the US during evening showing last night, that doesn’t appear to be stopping fans and regular moviegoers alike from watching it!

If you’re one of the people who hasn’t seen the movie yet though, you may want to turn away now! Still here? Don’t say we didn’t warn you. In Suicide Squad, Ezra Miller makes a cameo appearance as The Flash during a flashback depicting Captain Boomerang’s capture.

It’s a fun little cameo which emphasises the connectivity of the DC Films Universe, but director David Ayer has revealed that he wasn’t the one responsible for shooting the Scarlet Speedster’s appearance. Instead, it was Batman v Superman helmer Zack Snyder who did that while on the set of Justice League (which makes sense as it’s such a brief moment).

“Flash was always in the movie, we just got lucky because Justice League was happening and they had the uniform, they had the assets, so we were able to get that photography.”

Ayer heading over to London to film that – or Miller popping to Los Angeles – wouldn’t have made any sense, so you can see why Snyder ended up taking charge of that. What other surprises does Suicide Squad feature? Check back this weekend for our in-depth breakdown.
