Details have also emerged about the comprehensive extras on the disc including the all new six part documentary Return to Jurassic Park, which is sure to be the main draw for fans of the series, other than the chance to see the films in shiny high definition.
The other extras are all listed below and it’s an extremely detailed look at the trilogy which, shockingly, is almost twenty years old and set a new standard for visual effects all those years ago. Looking back at the DVD releases recently the effects still stand up very well, and Spielberg’s handling of the creatures in the first film in particular is flawless.
There is a size able majority who believe the second film jumped the shark, or Shipped the T-Rex to maul a perfectly good euphemism, but I maintain that there are at least two set pieces in the second film that outdo most action adventure films to date.
So Star Wars in September and Jurassic Park in October… it’s going to be an expensive few months for Blu-ray fans.
The Blu-ray set will also be available in a Ultimate Collector’s Gift Set Edition which is pictured below in all its glory.
