Jungleland is a brilliant new drama about lost souls, always on the run. To mark the film’s release – this coming Monday, November 30th, we spoke to the director of the piece, Max Winkler, paired with the brilliantly charismatic Jessica Barden, who takes on one of the leads within this gritty production.

We speak about the two protagonists Charlie Hunnam and Jack O’Connell, and we go down something of a tangent, speaking about the brilliance of Leeds United manager Marco Bielsa, and we ask Barden – as a Yorkshire lass born and bred – whether she can get a good brew on set in America.

When a devastating loss in the ring leaves Lion and his manager/brother Stan in debt to a local crime boss, they are forced to risk it all in a bare-knuckle boxing tournament as the pair fight for a better life.

Jungleland is available to download and keep – and to rent, from November 30th.
