The recent emergence of streaming services has been a boon for film fans eager to catch the latest releases, as well as dive into a curated selection of classic cinema. Having access to some of the greatest films & TV of all time is the stuff of dreams for those of us who remember the never-ending shelves at our local video store. And now there’s a new (well-known, much loved) name that is setting up their stall.

StudioCanal Presents is the latest streaming channel to arrive, this time as an exclusive on the AppleTV app. It is available via the app on Apple TV, smart TVs and streaming devices, game consoles as well as the obligatory iPhones and iPads. Though for the type of films & TV they are showing we’d recommend the biggest screen you can find.

Here’s a taster of what you’ll find there.

The channel is available for £4.99 a month, and their opening salvo contains stone cold classics such as a restored version of The Third Man, the 4K release of Apocalypse Now: Final Cut, as well as films from The Coen Brothers, Lynne Ramsay and Céline Sciamma. The channel also offers TV highlights such as Hannibal and, for the first time ever on a streaming channel, acclaimed crime drama Spiral.

When will it take place?

We will be hosting the Film & TV quiz on Zoom at 8pm GMT on Wednesday, the 24th of November, 2021.

Quizmaster Scott Davis will return to test your Film & TV knowledge using the StudioCanal catalogue of film and television classics as our base.
