Spanking Shakespeare tells the story of the unfortunately named Shakespeare Shapiro and his struggles in high school, dating and friendship.
Stalberg will also rewrite the adapted screenplay, which was originally penned by Dan Lagana.
Paramount Pictures will finance the production.
