John Cena is certainly loving the Hollywood life… Wrestler turned actor Cena is lining up his next role at Paramount Players and has entered into final negotiations for a family comedy, ‘Playing with Fire’.

The comedy is said to revolve around a group of rugged wildfire fighters who meet their match when they rescue a trio of rambunctious children. The role in which Cena would be taking on isn’t made clear but it is no doubt one of the ‘rugged wildfire fighters’. Further casting details are yet to be made available.

Matt Lieberman has penned the script which will be produced by Todd Garner and Sean Robins of Broken Road Productions. Paramount executive VP Matt Dines is overseeing for the studio.

The wrestler come, actor, first flexed his acting chops in 2006 in a feature called The Marine. He has since gone on to juggle his two worlds and finally made a breakthrough in films with 2015’s Trainwreck in which he starred alongside Amy Schumer and hasn’t looked back since.

Cena was last seen as an overprotective Father who wanted to stop his teenage daughter from losing her virginity in Blockers. He also provided the voice of the ‘sensitive’ bull, Ferdinand in the animation of the same name. His upcoming projects include lending his voice, yet again, to the Robert Downey Jr vehicle, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. He is currently filming Project X-traction with Jackie Chan. He will also be appearing in the Transformer’s spin-off, Bumblebee at the end of the year.
