Deadline are reporting that John C. Reilly (last seen in winning form in the Duplass Brothers film Cyrus) is set to appear alongside Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz in Roman Polanski’s next feature.

The film in question is an adaptation of Yasmina Reva’s Tony-winning play God of Carnage, which concerns two pairs of parents whose meeting one evening to discuss an incident between their children, descends into chaos and rivalry.

Foster will play Reilly’s wife in roles originally performed by James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden on Broadway. It’s also nice to see that Waltz is being cast in parts which are far-removed from the villainous Nazi in which he made his name with.
