Wolfboy

Jaeden Martell has a remarkable set of credits, and he’s only 17 years of age. Another to add to the list – which includes IT, Knives Out and Midnight Special, is his latest production The True Adventures of Wolfboy. To mark the film’s release On Demand, we had the pleasure of speaking to the highly talented teenager on Zoom.

Martell speaks about working with so much make-up and how that benefited his performance. He also talks about collaborating with John Turturro and whether he actively seeks to learn from his co-stars on a project. That said, many are likely learning from this young talent, as we ask what helps him make his decisions, which have led to such a variety of interesting projects. He also talks about his childhood and getting into acting, and how at school he was more of a quiet kid – and finally he tells us why he’s looking forward to Knives Out 2 – this time as a viewer.

Synopsis

Paul lives an isolated life with his father in upstate New York. He finds making friends impossible due to a rare condition he has known as congenital hypertrichosis – an affliction that causes an abnormal amount of hair growth all over his face and body. On his 13th birthday, Paul receives a mysterious gift that compels him to run away and seek out the mother he has never known.

The Truth Adventures of Wolfboy is available On Demand on October 30th
