We had the opportunity to chat to the film’s crew (including the aptly-named vomit-prone cameraman Rick Kosick) at the recent UK premiere when we found ourselves standing in line together with them as they were shooting the final scenes for what would become Jackass 3.5.

“For ‘Jackass 3-D’ we shot enough footage for two movies, so a lot of great stuff didn’t make it in the film,” Jackass veteran Johnny Knoxville recently said to MTV, “luckily you will get to see those bits in ‘3.5.’ We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for ‘3.5.’ I have staples in my head right now to prove it. Woo hoo.”

That’s right folks, Jackass 3.5 has finally found a release date and it won’t be getting the theatrical release we once thought it would.  Instead, Paramount has decided to go with a full online release of 3.5 featuring all new footage and stunts that were left out of Jackass 3-D or, as Knoxville stated above, filmed specifically for this follow-up.

With an online launch set for March 2011, MTV.com reports that videos showcasing some of the new stunts and footage will be released weekly until its actual release date in which we will see all of the footage “packaged together” for another full-length feature.  After that is will hit the regular platforms like DVD, VOD, etc.

My question is, will it be available in 3-D upon its DVD release?  Guess we will have to wait for that answer.  Thoughts on 3.5?  What did you think of 2.5, is it even worth watching?  Let us know below.
