Today marks the start of San Diego Comic-Con, and Star Wars fans are in for a treat.
In last night’s preview Lucasfilm’s pavilion revealed they would be featuring characters (and costumes) from Rogue One, the forthcoming new Star Wars adventure. We’ve already seen the main crew, both Rebel and Imperial, and our favourite so far is the ice-white ensemble of Ben Mendelsohn’s Director Krennic and his pitch black Deathtroopers.
Among the familiar faces (including our friends with the worst aim in the galaxy – otherwise known as Stormtroopers) there was one costume which has left fans very excited.
A mercenary pilot, whose home world, Yar Togna, was conquered and occupied by the Empire. This forced him to flee from his home world as a refugee.
Edrios flies alongside his eggmate, Benthic Two Tubes. Together they have joined forces with Saw Gerrera to strike back against the Empire. Both Edrio and Bethnic share the nickname derived from the breathing apparatus that allows their Tognath physiology to process oxygen atmospheres.
We hope to see more from San Diego Comic-Con this weekend – maybe we’ll see a formal release of that recent Rogue One trailer?
