Having ventured into the world of the Hollywood blockbuster with a role in the latest Transformers endeavour, Irish actor Jack Reynor is back on home soil, collaborating with director Gerard Barrett in the affecting drama Glassland – and we had the pleasure of sitting down with the pair to discuss the project.

Reynor spoke about tackling the role of John – while Barrett discussed what it was about the story of al alcoholic mother and her beleaguered son that appealed to him. Reynor also explained the differences between films such as this and blockbusters, while talking to us about his roles in the forthcoming productions Macbeth and eagerly anticipated Jungle Book remake.

Glassland is released on April 17th. You can read our review here.
