To hear an actor speak so highly of their own film is not a rarity, but for America Ferrera, the way she discusses her work on How to Train Your Dragon 2, is almost like that of a fan, as she admits that as it’s an animation she can detach herself and appreciate it as a punter, when speaking to HeyUGuys to mark the releases of this eagerly anticipated sequel.
Ferrera tells us why she feels this picture works, and how much trust you have to have in the filmmakers when lending your voice to an animated production. She also tells us what she believes to be this franchises biggest appeal, her own relationships with pets, and a little on the forthcoming drama Cesar Chavez.
