It has been a while since we have seen Ratchet & Clank on top form on home consoles, All 4 One was at best a stop-gap/spin-off from the main entries in the franchise. To celebrate ten years of one of Sony’s flagship duos Insomniac have announced that a brand new title is heading our way this fall.

Titled Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault the game will be a downloadable title but if the game fairs well it may get a physical release like 2008s Quest For Booty. Considering this summer will also see the long-awaited HD collection next to this new title it looks like Ratchet & Clank could be on their way to making it as big as they were in the PlayStation 2 days.

We’ve been hard at work on Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault and now we’re giving you a sneak peek at this first piece of art to give you a taste of what we have in store for you when the game launches later this year. In the meantime, we hope you pick up the Ratchet & Clank Collection when it comes out this summer. We’ll have some more news on the Collection’s release date and a special surprise for North American fans coming in the next couple of weeks.
