Sony Pictures UK has unveiled a chilling new look at the next chapter in its beloved horror franchise with the release of the official trailer for ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ — and this time, the boundary between worlds isn’t just thin… It’s breakable.
The latest instalment dives deeper into the eerie mythology first imagined by Leigh Whannell, dragging audiences back into the shadowy realm known as The Further, where restless souls drift and something far more sinister lurks.
At the heart of the story is Gemma, played by Amelia Eve, a young mother trying to build a quiet life for her daughter in the very house she grew up in. But peace doesn’t last long. Gemma soon discovers she possesses a terrifying ability: she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial dimension that has haunted the franchise since its beginning.
What begins as a haunting gift quickly mutates into a waking nightmare.
Unlike those before her, Gemma’s connection to The Further is not just spiritual — it’s physical. She can bring entities back with her. And once the demons realise that the doorway swings both ways, they waste no time crossing over. Suddenly, the real world becomes fertile ground for unspeakable horrors, turning everyday life into a hunting ground.
Directed by Jacob Chase, alongside Eve, the cast features Brandon Perea and franchise veteran Lin Shaye.
