‘John Wick’ regular, Ian McShane has finally closed a deal that will see him return to the role of Winston for the fourth instalment.

McShane will join the already cast Hiroyuki Sanada, Bill Skarsgard, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick and Japanese-British popstar Rina Sawayama and Keanu Reeves who returns as the titular character.

A long-standing friend of Wick’s from the first instalment, when we last saw McShane’s Winston it appeared he had betrayed that friendship but killing Reeves Wick, but was it all a rouse? It looks like those questions will now be answered.

Stahelski stated “I couldn’t be happier than to welcome Ian McShane back to John Wick: Chapter 4. He is not only an amazing actor but is an indispensable collaborator who has helped define the world of John Wick.”

Chad Stahelski will return to the helm of the project while Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Stahelski will produce. Reeves and Louise Rosner will serve as executive producers. Shay Hatten and Michael Finch have co-written the latest instalment.

Filming is now underway and shooting on location in France, Germany and Japan.
