It’s a strange time of life when fake trailers get made into feature length films, yet Machete made good on its Grindhouse origins and Jason Eisener is the man to bring Hobo With a Shotgun violently to life
Casting Rutger Hauer as the titular Hobo was a good idea, and this new poster is another example of the new old style of 21st Grindhouse. If I’m right HWAS will premiere this month at Sundance and I think we’re all hoping the film can live up to its promise.
Here’s a synopsis,
Uncovering the roots of Restoration Comedy to mid 14th century Hamburg was a labour of love for Daniel Lensk, undergraduate and famed croquet player, and on a trip to find an original manuscript which will prove his theories he uncovers a conspiracy far more… Nah. It’s about a Hobo with a Shotgun. Going crazy.
