U has dropped exclusive first-look images for its upcoming six-part police thriller ‘Hit Point,’ and they crackle with tension like a live wire. Led by Nick Blood (Day of the Jackal) and BAFTA nominee Saffron Hocking (Top Boy), the series promises a pulse-quickening mix of action, romance, and moral grey zones that refuse to sit still.

Set to stream on U and air on U&Dave, Hit Point marks a significant leap for the broadcaster as it steps into the world of original scripted drama.

At the centre of the story are detectives Leo (Blood) and Bella (Hocking), partners whose latest investigation drags them deep into the shadowy veins of West London’s criminal underworld. As the case tightens its grip, so does the strain on their personal lives. Trust frays. Loyalties wobble. Every revelation feels like pulling a pin from a grenade.

The series teases a volatile cocktail of razor-sharp humour and heart-stopping action, where secrets don’t just surface, they detonate. And somewhere in the crossfire sits a complicated romance, hinting that love may be the most dangerous move on the board.

Behind the scenes, BAFTA-winning writer Howard Overman (Misfits, The War of the Worlds) pens the series, and directing duties fall to David Caffrey, whose credits include ‘The Gentlemen’ and ‘Peaky Blinders.’

Joining Blood and Hocking is a formidable ensemble, William Abadie (Emily in Paris), Brendan Coyle (Toxic Town), Peter Serafinowicz (The Gentlemen), Nadia Parkes (Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story), Moe Bar-El (Alien: Earth), Ossian Perret (The Last Kingdom) and Joshua Sher (The Undeclared War).
