Sony Pictures have released a new three-minute red-band trailer for The Interview, and it doesn’t hold back!

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

As you might imagine, the plot of the movie has caused some controversy and some edits were apparently made in order to make its content less offensive to North Korea as they did not take kindly to the first trailer.

This one delves into the plot of the movie, throwing in plenty of cameos and laughs, and it’s clear that fans of any of the comedies these two have previously starred in together (Pineapple Express, This is the End) and the work of writer/director Evan Goldberg will definitely want to be there on day one for The Interview!

The Interview is set to be released on December 25th in the US and February 6th, 2015 here in the UK.
