The future as promised to us is a strange place. Movies which set their scene in the future have promised us hoverboards, robot servants, telepathy, three seashells, modified genes running riot and everyone seems to insist that we’ll be jetting through overcrowded cities in flying cars.
Presumably we’ve found an alternative fuel source and everything runs on water based power (or Mr. Fusion)…
The world of movies is in a state of constant flux and sometimes we barely have the capacity to keep up, however when we put our minds to it we can accomplish anything. In this spirit when O2 asked us to join in their campaign to throw caution to the wind and inspect our crystal balls (we have two) to predict the big happenings in the world of film during the next six months we answered the call.
Below you can see a few of my predictions on what will make headlines between now and August. I was given a time capsule and asked to bury things indicative of what we expect to happen in that time. In six month’s time we’ll dig it up and see how accurate my predictions were. Or not. Some of them were wild shots in the dark it has to be said.
