While the world counts down to the release of the first part of the final Harry Potter film a couple of news items are floating around today that are worth a mention.

Firstly our friends at /Film found a photo of the Hagrid’s hut section of the Universal Studio Orlando Harry Potter theme park and it looks the business, and following the first image to be released of the theme park The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is sure to draw fans by the thousand. You can see the picture below.

Have a look at /Film’s site to see this is mucho big resolution to really appreciate the detail they’ve put into it.

When we first reported news of this theme park it seemed that it would fill the gap left by the inevitable absence of new Potter once the two parts of The Deathly Hallows is released into the cinemas, but from what we’ve seen so far Universal are looking to keep the Potter spirit (and cash cow, let’s be honest) alive.

On a side note, The Telegraph are reporting that the script for The Deathly Hallows Part 1 was left in a pub close to Leavesden studios where it is being filmed, so in true tabloid Britain tradition it was handed in to The Sun who ran it on their front page.

It was meant to have been left by one of the crew who was at the pub that night (maybe it was used to fan out the ‘huge’ fire on the set recently?) and going through the script The Sun reported a few major changes made from the first half of the book. I’m steering clear of the The Sun’s website (for many reasons) but I’m sure if you want a few more details you can find your way there.
