Universal Pictures and Blumhouse productions have graced us with a new heritage trailer for David Gordon Green’s new Halloween movie.

The trailer takes us on a journey from the 1963 murder committed by a then 6-year-old Michael Myers of his own sister to the birth of the Legend in 1978, finally arriving in the present day.

Directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Jeff Fradley and Danny McBride. The 11th film in the long-running franchise stars Jamie Lee-Curtis who reprises her role as Laurie Strode. Judy Greer plays Karen Strode and James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle as Michael Myers / The Shape. Also on the cast are Andi Matichak, Will Patton and Virginia Gardner.

Master of horror John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.
