Sky has released the first look trailer for ‘Grow,’ a feel-good Sky Original family movie brimming with pumpkins, sabotage, and unexpected connections. The film will make its World Premiere at this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival on Saturday 16th August before landing exclusively on Sky Cinema from 10th October.

Billed as a charming, all-ages tale, Grow follows a no-nonsense farmer living in the self-proclaimed “Pumpkin Capital of the World” whose life is turned upside down when her estranged niece, Charlie, comes to stay. Determined to make her mark, Charlie enters the fiercely competitive local pumpkin-growing contest. But with a little help from her unusual plant powers — and her pumpkin “Peter” — she begins to blossom, forging bonds with the farm, the quirky townsfolk, and a brand-new way of life.

The film boasts a stellar British ensemble cast, including Nick Frost (Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon), Joe Wilkinson (After Life), Tim McInnerny (Gladiator II), Alan Carr (Nativity!), Kathryn Drysdale (Bridgerton), Fisayo Akinade (Heartstopper), and Sharon Rooney (My Mad Fat Diary). They’re joined by Golda Rosheuvel (Bridgerton), Priya-Rose Brookwell (The Lazarus Project), Dominic McLaughlin (HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series), Jane Horrocks (Bloods), and Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso).

Directed by Scottish filmmaker John McPhail, ‘Grow’ promises a heart-warming blend of humour, community spirit, and pumpkin magic — perfect for cosy family viewing this autumn.
