Gareth Edwards’ hugely anticipated blockbuster, Godzilla, is due to launch its first trailer this week, and its arrival time could come sooner than expected with your help.

Warner Bros. and Legendary have launched a new viral website for the film, teasing new videos and images (via mtime and TotalFilm) ahead of the trailer. If the site isn’t hacked by tomorrow night, then the studios will launch the first trailer then.

But if you head over to MUTOresearch.net, then you might be able to help it launch sooner.

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, and David Strathairn lead the stellar cast.

And Edwards is directing from a script penned by Max Borenstein and Frank Darabont, with Borenstein working with Dave Callaham on the story.

Godzilla will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on May 16th, 2014. For now, here are the new videos and images teasing the trailer’s arrival, and be sure to head over to the viral site to have a go at hacking the system.
