Glenn Close has joined the cast for Apple TV+’s espionage thriller series ‘Tehran’.
Close will play the role of ‘Marjan Montazeri,’ a British woman, living in Tehran. Close joins an ensemble cast that includes stars Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi.
The eight-episode first series tells the thrilling story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy.
Since its debut on Israeli network Kan 11 and globally on Apple TV+ on September 25 2020, “Tehran” was quickly renewed for a second season, and has captivated viewers worldwide, being hailed by critics as “gripping,” “heart-stopping”, and a “captivating spy thriller.” The complete first season of “Tehran” is now streaming globally on Apple TV+
Created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Omri Shenhar serves as a writer alongside Zonder. Syrkin and Shenhar are also co-creators.
