Gillian Anderson, Robert Duvall and Timothy Spall have rounded out the cast for director Scott Cooper’s horror thriller ‘The Pale Blue Eye.’

Anderson, Duvall and Timothy Spall join Christian Bale and Harry Melling in the film that focuses on an attempt to solve a series of murders that took place at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1830.  The thriller surrounds a young cadet who went on to become the Edgar Allan Poe, played by Melling. Bale, who will play the detective tasked with investigating the murders.

Lucy Boynton, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Toby Jones, Harry Lawtey, Simon McBurney and Hadley Robinson have also joined the cast.

Cooper adapted the screenplay for the movie from Louis Bayard’s novel of the same name. Cooper, John Lesher and Tyler Thompson are producing.

This isn’t the first time Bale and Cooper have worked together, the pair joined forces on both ‘Hostiles’ and ‘Out of the Furnace.’
