Gal Gadot has entered into final talks to join Disney’s live-action remake of ‘Snow White.’
Gadot is set to portray the Evil Queen opposite ‘West Side Story’ breakout Rachel Zegler, who was cast as the age-old princess back in June.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and ‘500 Days of Summer’ helmer Marc Webb is set to direct the currently untitled project. Songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are writing new music for the film.
Based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, ‘Snow White’ follows an orphaned princess living with her Evil Queen stepmother who attempts to poison her. With the help of seven dwarfs, Snow White escapes the queen and eventually finds love, living happily ever after.
Production is expected to commence in 2022.
Gadot will next be seen in Netflix’s Red Notice alongside Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson which has limited theatrical release from November 5th before heading to the streamer on November 12th. She was last seen in Wonder Woman 1984 where she reprised her role as Diana Prince.
