Paramount+ has released the teaser trailer for ‘Frisco King,’ the highly anticipated new original series from Oscar-nominated creator Taylor Sheridan, starring Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson as a seasoned gangster ready to carve out his own empire in suburban Texas.
Frisco has a new king, and he’s bringing more swagger, hustle and ambition than the Texas suburb knows what to do with. Jackson returns as Russell Lee Washington Jr. in a series that promises to uncover the criminal opportunities lurking beneath the polished surface of American suburbia.
Written by Sheridan, ‘Frisco King’ follows Lee Washington, an experienced New Orleans gangster who arrives in Frisco, Texas, and discovers a hustler’s playground ripe for the taking. With an eye for opportunity and a talent for turning small-time schemes into serious business, Lee begins building his own operation in unfamiliar territory.
Recruiting an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver and an expanding network of eccentric partners, Lee sets out to transform modest hustles into a lucrative enterprise. But as the money grows and his influence spreads, so do the dangers. With every new score comes a fresh set of risks, forcing Lee to stay one grift ahead of those looking to bring him down.
Alongside Jackson, the series stars Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann, with a special appearance by Sylvester Stallone.
Frisco may not know it yet, but its new king has arrived.
