Ant-Man still doesn’t have a director (though Nicholas Stoller and Michael Dowse are the latest names to be linked to the Marvel Studios project), but it’s not the only project out there in search of a new helmer. Remember Snow White and the Huntsman? Well, the hunt for someone to direct the sequel is picking up!

The first movie was helmed by Rupert Sanders and earned a little under 0 million at the worldwide box office on a 0 million budget, making a sequel an inevitability.

It has been revealed this evening that Universal have zeroed in on Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), Gavin O’Connor (Warrior) and Andy Muschietti (Mama). There’s no clear frontrunner as of right now, but the studio are planning on releasing the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel in 2016.

Chris Hemsworth will return alongside Kristen Stewart, and the former actually had to say no to Legendary Pictures’ Brilliance as work is set to begin on this sequel as soon as he is finished working on Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. For that reason, a decision should be made very soon.

Darabont’s last feature was The Mist in 2007, O’Connor recently took over Jane Got A Gun and Muschietti came close to helming the reboot of The Mummy franchise before he fell out of that project.

Who would you guys most like to see helm Snow White and the Huntsman 2?
