So,
That’s where Kevin Hart’s Jimmy comes, as he, “provides Best Man services for guys who lack in such areas,” and it’s up to him to be the perfect best man and throw a killer wedding party.
When he’s tasked with assembling a group of seven groomsmen as well though, Jimmy finds himself overwhelmed and the groom to be is lumbered with a wedding party that he describes in the trailer below as looking like the cast of Goonies who have grown up to become rapists.
The comedy is very much tongue in cheek and R-Rated, while it’s not hard to predict that Doug and Jimmy will develop a very real friendship by the time the credits roll. Even so, Wedding Ringer looks like a lot of fun, and both Kevin Hart and Josh Gad seem to share an awful lot of chemistry.

Jimmy provides best man services for socially challenged guys, who – for whatever reason – have no one close enough to agree to stand by them on the day of their wedding. Doug, a groom-to-be, has found himself in just such a situation, but, to make matters worse, he fabricates the names of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy’s services to carry out a charade designed to make Doug look his best, but threatens to destroy everything if it fails.
Also starring Olivia Thirlby, Kaley Cuoco, Jorge Garcia, Affion Crockett, and Aaron Takahashi, Wedding Ringer is currently set to be released on January 16th, 2015.
