Simon Pegg, best known for the awesome Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, will be back on the big screen this summer in A Fantastic Fear of Everything.

We got our first look at Pegg as the lead in the film back in October last year, and now Pegg himself has tweeted the first trailer.

Co-directors Crispian Mills and Chris Hopewell are making their directorial debuts, directing from Mills’ script, and it looks like it should be another great performance by Pegg.

“Jack is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.”

A Fantastic Fear of Everything will be released in the UK on 8th June, and as yet no release date for the US is set. Pegg is naturally brilliant in everything he does, so it’s a safe bet that this is going to be one of the best comedies of the summer.

After catching Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman in the cinema the week before, this will definitely be a nice change of pace for that weekend. For now, here’s the first trailer. Enjoy.
