If you’re yet to fully recognise how different a direction Vanessa Hudgens has been taking in recent years with her film choices, this first trailer for Frozen Ground should be more than enough to convince you.
Hudgens stars alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack as the leading trio, making for a really interesting line-up, and this first trailer is a great introduction to the thriller we have in store for us later this year, rather chillingly based on a true story.

Scott Walker makes his feature debut, directing from his own script, with 50 Cent, Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, and Katherine LaNasa completing the cast.
After making a name for herself in the High School Musical series, Hudgens has more recently taken on leading roles in Zak Penn’s Sucker Punch and Harmony Korine’s highly-anticipated Spring Breakers, alongside Selena Gomez and James Franco, and with Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills on the horizon, things are looking awesome for her career in the coming months and years.
Frozen Ground will be released in the US on 30th November. No word yet on when we can expect it in the UK, but hopefully Lionsgate will be releasing it here before the year’s end, too. There’s a handful of cursing in the trailer, along with Hudgens’ performances as a stripper, so as you can imagine, this one isn’t suitable for work. Enjoy.
