With Michael Cera, Juno Temple, and Emily Browning in the leads, Magic Magic has been one of the most promising films going before cameras this year, and one we’ve been really looking forward to for some time.

The psychological thriller is set to give us a very different side to what we’re used to from the likes of Cera, and now the first images of him and Browning have surfaced, giving us a great early look at the film, which tells,

“The chilling story of a young American woman (Temple) vacationing with her friends in a remote part of Chile, who begins to mentally unravel and enters into a world of disturbing landscapes and crushing terror.   A destabilizing, psychological thriller recalling the best works in the genre, the film entices viewers into a world they won’t soon be able to forget.”

Sebastián Silva (The Maid) is at the helm, directing from his own script, with Oscar-nominated Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace) and Silva’s brother, Agustín Silva (The Maid) completing the cast.

No word yet on when we can expect Magic Magic to be released, but Sony have already acquired rights earlier this year, and with any luck, we’ll be seeing more from the film in the coming months, hopefully with a festival debut in the New Year at a place like Sundance. For now, here are the first images, which you can click to enlarge.
