Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron have taken to their respective Instragram accounts to share a first look at the upcoming big screen reboot of the Baywatch TV series.
The wrestler turned actor has also shared a fairly lengthy message about their first day on set and this is definitely a very cool new updated look for the coastguard team. Of course, it’s not exactly an exaggeration to say that most people are probably more excited to see what some of the beautiful female cast members will end up wearing in this movie!
In all seriousness though, while Baywatch was initially met with a lot of scepticism, it’s beginning to look like this could be a surprise hit next year. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), Baywatch revolves around a by-the-book leader of an elite team of lifeguards (Johnson) who’s forced to team with a rule-breaking hotshot (Efron) to save the bay from an oil tycoon (Priyanka Chopra). Set for release on May 19th, 2017, the cast also includes Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, and Hannibal Buress.
