Following the success of Dr. Seuss adaptation Horton Hears a Who (we’ll forget about the Mike Myers-starring Cat in the Hat!), USA Today brings news (and a first look at the key character) that the same creative team are bringing another book by the famed kids author to the big screen.

The Lorax (first published in 1971), follows the adventures of a environment crusader of the same name who speaks (with the voice of Danny DeVito in the film) for the trees against the greedy Once-ler.

The Hangover’s Ed Helms will lend his vocal talents to the role of The Once-ler – a greedy creature who chops down every tree he can find to make his Thneeds, which are “a thing everyone needs.” Former Golden Girl and current Hollywood darling Betty White is also part of the cast, playing the grandmother of a character (voiced by Zac Efron) who sets off in search of the Once-ler to confront the creature about the environment.
