Disney+ has unveiled the first official images from the upcoming comedy-drama ‘Alice and Steve,’ a six-part series that looks ready to turn love triangles into emotional battlegrounds. Set against the ever-buzzing backdrop of London, the show blends awkward humour with deeply personal stakes, like a polite dinner party that suddenly flips the table.
At the centre is Alice, played by Nicola Walker, whose world tilts dramatically when her best friend Steve, portrayed by Jemaine Clement, begins dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). What could possibly go wrong? Everything, quite spectacularly.
Alice isn’t just losing her best friend, she’s watching her daughter slip into the same orbit. Naturally, she launches a full-scale emotional counteroffensive.
But Steve is no passive participant. As the first-look images suggest, he’s braced for impact, matching Alice’s intensity step for step. What begins as a warm, longstanding friendship mutates into a feud packed with sharp exchanges, bruised egos, and complicated loyalties.

Meanwhile, Izzy sits at the centre of the storm, caught between love and family, adding an extra layer of tension to an already combustible setup.
The newly released images showcase the core quartet in full dramatic stride, with Joel Fry appearing as Daniel, alongside a strong supporting cast including Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye.
Behind the camera, the series is created and written by Sophie Goodhart, with direction from BAFTA-winning filmmaker Tom Kingsley.
‘Alice and Steve’ will make its World Premiere in competition at Canneseries 2026. The six-part Hulu Original will stream exclusively on Disney+ in the UK in Summer 2026.
