The actor is set to have another very good year this year, not only starring in the summer blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises, but also leading Looper and Premium Rush in the next few months, and starring in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln. Not to mention the fact that he’s filming his feature directorial debut, Don Jon’s Addiction.
Following on from the trailers and images we’ve seen already now surfaces the first international poster for the film, as well as a new image from its official website.
“Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies, open doors, and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day’s work for Wilee, the best of New York’s agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie — super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and suicidal nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic.
But a guy who’s used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when a routine delivery turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan. When Wilee picks up his last envelope of the day on a premium rush run, he discovers this package is different. This time, someone is actually trying to kill him.”
David Koepp (Ghost Town, Spider-Man) is behind the camera for Premium Rush, co-writing with John Kamps (Ghost Town), with Gordon-Levitt leading alongside the excellent Michael Shannon, Dania Ramirez, Jamie Chung, and Aasif Mandvi.
Premium Rush will be released in the US on 24th August, and will hit our shores a little later in the UK on 14th September, followed swiftly by Looper on 28th September. Two doses of JGL in one month; not too bad. As usual, you can click the images below to enlarge.
