Ahead of its European premiere at this year’s BFI Film Festival at the May Fair Hotel Gala on October 11th. A new trailer has been launched for Paul McGuigan’s Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool.

Based on Peter Turner’s memoir, the film follows the playful but passionate relationship between Liverpudlian Turner (Bell) and the eccentric Academy Award®-winning actress Gloria Grahame (Bening). Set in the late 70’s, The trailer has all the traditional hallmarks of a heart warming and feel good British comedy as Bening and her Toy boy, Bell embarks on what seems like an innocent relationship of friendship which soon turns into a real life movie romance.

Directed by Paul McGuigan, the film stars Annette Bening, Jamie Bell, Julie Walters, Vanessa Redgrave, Kenneth Cranham, Stephen Graham, Frances Barber, and Leanne Best.
