As those of you who have seen David Fincher’s Fight Club will already know (and if you haven’t, please do stop reading now to go and check it out), there’s a very big twist in the final act of the movie. Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden is revealed to be just a figment of The Narrator’s (Ed Norton) imagination, meaning that he was in none of the critically acclaimed movie’s scenes: we’re just seeing what Norton’s character is.
To give us an idea what exactly that would have looked like, VFX expert Richard Trammell has removed Durden from one of Fight Club’s most memorable moments, and you can’t help but wonder what sort of impact it would have on the entire film if this were to be done for every scene.
