The 60-second Super Bowl TV spot was the first footage shown from the highly anticipated movie, coming just after an awesome first teaser poster. And both have given its late-spring release date an even more prominent place on the map.
The first full-length trailer arrives in just a few hours’ time, and now Vin Diesel has shared the first thirty seconds of the upcoming trailer.
“Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.”
Diesel and Paul Walker are naturally front and centre once more. And joining them is another exceptional ensemble, headed up by Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim, Tyrese Gibson, Gina Carano, Gal Gadot, Elsa Pataky, and the excellent Sung Kang.
Lin is back behind the camera once more, having helmed the third, fourth, and fifth instalments, and he’s directing from a script penned by Chris Morgan, who’s written all the films in the series that Lin has directed.
Sharing this preview through Facebook, Diesel added:
“Because of your excitement about the Super Bowl’s FF6 trailer, the studio wanted me to show you the first 30 seconds of tomorrow’s Extended First Look…
Tuesday 9am pst!
P.s. Your voice, your passion, has truly driven this saga…
Thanks for the love.”
Fast and Furious 6 will be hitting theatres on 24th May in the UK and US, and I can’t tell you how much I can’t wait for that day to come. This is going to be amazing. For now, here’s the first thirty seconds of the full-length trailer. Be sure to come back in a few hours; we’ll have it for you when it lands. Enjoy.
