Skyfall Poster showing Daniel Craig as James BondLast night, Danny Boyle, Daniel Craig, and the Queen brought us one of the best short films in recent memory, Happy and Glorious, culminating in James Bond and the Queen parachuting into the Olympic opening ceremony.

The ceremony played on the advert-free BBC on our shores, but over in America, viewers were treated to a fantastic TV spot for the upcoming Bond film, Skyfall, that has now made its way online, giving us more footage following the awesome first teaser trailer.

“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

Craig is joined by a fantastic cast, headed up by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench, and as you can see from the limited synopsis above, the plot is nicely being kept fairly under wraps.

Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty) is behind the camera, directing from a script co-written by Bond-frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).

Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres in the UK on 26th October, before heading across the Atlantic for a 9th November release in the US. Here’s a brilliant 30-second spot to give you an idea of how much we have to look forward to. Enjoy.
