This week marks the release of Vox Lux – the latest film to come out of the mind of creative filmmaker Brady Corbet. We had the pleasure of sitting down with the man himself to discuss the project, alongside an interview with two of the film’s leading stars, Stacy Martin and Raffey Cassidy.

The two actresses discuss what it was like working under Corbet, and Cassidy describes her experience playing two different characters within the film. Meanwhile Corbet discusses why he wanted the young English star to play both roles, and he touches on the important of having authentic music within the film. We also ask him about whether he’d ever be tempted to one day make a big studio movie, in the vein of a Marvel production, but seems it’s something he’s not particularly keen on ever doing.

Synopsis

Celeste is a 13-year-old music prodigy who survives a horrific school shooting in Staten Island, N.Y., in 1999. Her talent shines through during the memorial service when she sings a song that touches the hearts of the mourners. Guided by her sister and a talent manager, the young phenom transforms into a rising pop star with a promising future. Eighteen years later, Celeste now finds herself on the comeback trail when a scandal, personal struggles and the pitfalls of fame threaten her career.
