Entertainment Weekly have gone Star Wars gaga with their latest weekly addition having a heavy focus and exclusive look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi with exclusive images – which you can view below – and some exciting details on the newest creatures to feature in the saga, as well as the return of the beloved Luke Skywalker.

From the images below, EW’s Fall Movie preview edition features Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Daisy Ridley as Rey on one cover with further special edition’s giving each character their own solo outing. We also have a selection of stills featuring John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron for diehard fans to feast their eyes on and fuel the forces thirst.

Further details coming from EW including the publication releasing eight instalments of The Last Jedi coverage leading with the Luke and Rey covers includes further images of the new creatures and villains that will feature in the forthcoming movie.  Tomorrow’s coverage comes with Oscar Isaac where he will be talking about the late great Carrie Fisher and her final appearance as General Leia Organa recalling what it was like to work with such a great artist, her performance and pure energy she brought to the set. We can expect quite an emotional piece with this one.

Only recently did John Boyega speak up about his time with Carrie Fisher, paying tribute to the actress that meant freedom;

“Carrie Fisher means freedom,” Boyega said. “She influenced people to be authentic and say what you want, however you want. I’ll miss her energy. You were always going to hear Carrie Fisher somewhere saying something that she has no business saying, that makes everybody laugh.”

Although this heavy coverage of the next in the franchise, one thing is certainly guaranteed, there will be no spoilers ahead. We all know how Lucasfilm love to keep any great a detail close to their chest – This little nugget of information will only be to get fans salivating over what’s to come.

Directed by Rian Johnson, STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI will hit cinemas December 15th.
