To celebrate the release of Encanto, the latest animation from Walt Disney Studios, we sat down with its incredible cast and creative filmmakers to find out all about the vibrant new film. You can read our 5 star review right here.

The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

Chatting to Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), John Leguizamo (John Wick), and Dianne Guerrero (Doom Patrol), the trio tell us about the film’s messages, the importance of diversity and inclusivity, the honesty of the Madrigal family and family dynamics, and Zoom signing lessons with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

We also had the pleasure of chatting to producer and President of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Clark Spencer, and co-writer and co-directors Jared Bush and Charise Castro-Smith about the genesis of the film, taking their inspirations from Colombia and its enchanting lifestyles and country, hearing Miranda’s early demos of the music years before release and the celebration of family.
