Following yesterday’s news that Jack Lowden has been set to play Mr Darcy in Netflix’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ series, it has been announced that Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman have been added to the cast.
Emma Corrin (Nosferatu, Black Mirror) will star as Elizabeth Bennet with Colman taking on the role of Mrs Bennet.
The series will be a faithful, classic adaptation of the novel, written by Dolly Alderton (Everything I Know About Love) and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper), going into production in the UK in 2025.

Star and Executive Producer Emma Corrin says: “Playing Elizabeth Bennet is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Dolly will bring to life Jane Austen’s iconic story for audiences that cherish it, whilst inspiring a new generation to fall in love with Austen for the first time.
