Rush-Quad-PosterRon Howard’s anticipated F1 movie, Rush, is just weeks away from arriving in cinemas, and is poised to set the box office alight on both sides of the Atlantic next month, following a North American bow at TIFF.

Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl are front and centre as rival drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. And after catching the latest trailer earlier in the month, StudioCanal have released a new extended TV spot to raise the anticipation that much higher.

RUSH portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed—handsome English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl). Set against the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, Rush follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error.

Hemsworth and Brühl are joined by a great cast, led by Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, and Natalie Dormer.

Howard, the Oscar-winning director behind A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, and countless other movies, is reuniting here with Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon), who penned the script. With the movie set to have its North American debut out in Toronto, it will be very interesting to see if it emerges as an awards contender in the coming months.

Rush will be released in the UK on 13th September, and is set to open wide across the US on September 27th, following an early limited release on September 20th.
