Good news for fans of all things The Lodge as Disney have just sent through word that the hit Disney Channel series is on for a second season.

If you’re not familiar with the show, it follows the life of Skye a 15 year old who inherits a lodge called The North Star after her grandmother dies. The show is rife with love triangles and general drama from those who wish to see The North Star’s demise but it’s down to Skye (played by Sophie Simnett) and her dedicated friends Ben (Luke Newton), Sean (Thomas Doherty who was recently cast in Descendants 2), Noah (Jayden Revri) Kaylee (Jade Alleyne), Danielle (Bethan Wright), Joshua (Joshua Sinclair-Evans) to make sure that The Lodge keeps on the straight and narrow all with song and dance to help tell the stories as they go.

The show has caused quite a wave for The Disney Channel and is broadcast in over 100 countries. The show will continue filming in Northern Ireland with Zodiac Kids Studios continuing to produce. We were fortunate enough to visit for the first season (see our set report below).

When the show launched in September, it was the highest rated show on The Disney Channel in over four year. The second season comes as no surprise with the finale of the first season leaving the story wide open.

If you missed them earlier in the year, you can see our exclusive interviews with the cast of The Lodge embedded below. We hope to visit the show once again during the filming of the second season so we’ll do our best to bring you as much from The North Star as we possibly can! Roll on Season 2!

The Lodge is a life affirming emotional rollercoaster that in the first series has seen 15 year old Skye’s journey of self-discovery following the death of her mother, as she moves from a big city to exciting rural life.  The second season will see our core cast face new challenges, attempt to solve a new mystery and navigate emotional relationship and friendship stories. Music will also continue to play a big role in series two with upbeat choreography and 12 original songs planned.
